The Infinity Gauntlet is not a character but an object of immense power within the Marvel Universe. It is a powerful gauntlet, or glove, that when embedded with all six Infinity Stones grants the wearer near-omnipotence.

The Infinity Gauntlet first appeared in *The Thanos Quest* #1 in October 1990. When all stones are in place, the stones bestow upon the wearer mastery over the six fundamental aspects of existence; Space, Reality, Power, Mind, Time and Soul.

While various characters have wielded the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos is perhaps the most well-known. His use of the Gauntlet to rewrite reality led to devastating consequences, and he is often the character most closely associated with the object.
